Eligibility Requirements:

To qualify for the Helpful Army Links Legacy Award, applicants must meet the following criteria:

High School Senior:

The applicant must be a senior in high school and on track to graduate at the end of the academic year.

Puerto Rican Descent or Cultural Embrace:

The applicant must be of Puerto Rican descent, or
If not of Puerto Rican descent, the applicant must have lived in Puerto Rico for more than five years and have actively embraced Puerto Rican culture and traditions.

Military Family Connection:

The applicant must be the child, sibling, or grandchild of a service member (active-duty, National Guard, reservist) or a veteran.

Residency:

Only students who are residents of Puerto Rico are eligible to apply.

Document Submission:

The applicant must submit:
- School Transcript (official copy).
- Proof of Military Service: Submit at least one of the following:
  - A photo with the service member.
  - A copy of the service member’s military ID or VA ID.
  - A letter from the service member’s unit or company.

Optional Letters of Recommendation:

Letters of recommendation are not required, but they will be accepted if submitted.
